The hotel contains 130 guestrooms, lounge, indoor pool/gym and attached restaurant. The hotel is located adjacent to Boston’s central artery and behind a collection of big box stores. The building was located on the site with a single row of parking around the building to expedite building entry and to enhance the sense of safety. The floor plan provides a central elevator lobby with a wall of glass that accentuates the building entry and provides natural light and view for guests. The building employs a signature striped brick to develop relief in the general massing of the building and to accentuate the sculptural effect of flanking stair towers. The effect is an unexpected sophistication that belies the hotel’s location in a busy transportation and commercial zone.
